Thank you for coming to my house to look at the accordion. I found another group of musicians that I like very much. I do hope that you will come onto our show New Music Showcase later this year.

on 5/6/8, I stopped off at the Wilbraham library so my son could pick up some books(due the next day!!). While he searched for his book , I sat and enjoyed the sweet sounds that your trio produced.I play guitar and blow some blues harp as well and my style of playing is similiar, so I really enjoyed the few songs I heard. My only regret was getting my son home to do his homework, otherwise I would have stayed and enjoyed myself. Best wihes ad hope to hear you soon, Johan

Utterly tantalizing - so much music from this duo group. They have their own style - what a nice mix at this concert in Oxford. Great standards and wonderful jazzy bluesy originals. Your music made my day. You are definitely pennies from heaven on any day. I hope to hear you again live... Kathy Perry, Oxford, MA.

Education
Female vocal groups began to produce songs that mixed Doo-wop harmonies with Rhythm and Blues music. There's not a single weak track among all that work, and there's simply no question that they consistently broke new ground musically. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Hey Ellen and Roger,

Looks like you are doing great. Just wanted to say hi and you guys should put up a myspace profile just look up miriamskymusic. If you don't remember me, I interviewed you guys awhile ago at FDU campus WFDQ radio station. My name then was Mimi and had a great time with you guys and still listen to your CD to this day. Music is still part of my life and now I share it with special needs children. I play guitar and bongos for them on my day off. volunteering is awesome and if anyone wants to donate money or time in nj voorhees facility let me know. I am trying to start a foundation to donate musicians time as a a volunteer and to donate used or new instruments. They love music and its therapy for them. I wanted to go for music therapy just I can't afford to go back to school for 6 more years, but I will continue volunteering and figure out how to better help them. Take care and if your ever in town or want to do a show at the childrens hospital in voorhees nj let me know. Take care you guys.

I very much enjoyed your music and think your timing is superb. Wish I had been able to get to Centerway Square to dance to your music, but at least got to Sorges. I want to send you an old cassette from an English duo named Hobson and Lee. It has "Can't take that away from you", "Undecided", and "My sister Kate". i believe you would enjoy and relate to their similar music.

Sincerely,

Doug

Hi Ellen and Roger,
Great show yesterday at Rodi! I found the real story on frogs and thought you would be happy to know that while frogs are not monogamous, they do, apparently, have a relationship of sorts and some even take care of their young. Check out MSN encarta - frog behavior. :-) Amy

Great concert today in the rain in Roxbury! We totally enjoyed it and also enjoyed your humor. We love an intimate concert and the great little asides you provided for each number. It makes it so much more personal. Love the album 'True'! The song is grand and so is Feedback! Thanks for coming to our little town. We'll be looking forward to seeing you in Gastonia, although I didn't see it on your schedule of appearances. Let us know when you'll be appearing there and we'll bring a carload from Pinehurst.

Perhaps you'll remember us from the Arts Council for Wyoming County (or maybe you don't, you've probably been in many places since!). The Suzanne and Nate couple, we bought your CDs, Nate the bass player. Oh, now you remember.

What a wonderful performance it was! I was sorry there weren't more of us to enjoy it, but what happened that night was a cozy, accessible atmosphere. You both created it, by who you are, what you do, and how you interact with your audience. Your work is excellent. It has that emotional quality that few performers pull off sincerely. The songs are well constructed, the chord changes very nice.

Playing bars and nightclubs can be an odious job. It simply amazes me that you can deal with the travel, the long late hours, the dense smoke (well, that's going to change!), the drunks and all, and yet continue in what appears from our side, anyway, to be a wonderful loving relationship. I've been there, we were in it years ago so I know, it's the love of the music, the tribute you work at giving it, the hook of the appreciative audience.

So, carry on! Break a leg!

Nate - Tue, Apr 29th, 2003 10:14 AM PDT
Great job Saturday at the Wyoming County Arts Council -excellent tunes, musicianship, etc., etc.
Hope you make it back this way.

Doris - Thu, Apr 3rd, 2003 12:42 PM PST
I hope you can come back to the little park in Canaan, NH again this Summer. You were great. Maybe you can get a gig at the Lebanon Opera House in Lebanon, NH or the Claremont Opera House. Kathy Mattea is playing in Lebanon and Suzanne Vega is playing in Claremont. By the way, I think our area needs to find out about you guys!!! Come on back. Since I last saw you in concert in Canaan I entered a Masters program. Your kind of music would be a great gift...so I can get rid of the stress as I pursue my degree and put up with some life changes...Thanks so much..forever in my memory, you are...dmf

I second Mr. Williams comment below; the highlight of the entire Easton proceeding. You folks have a unique and compelling project going and it will be fun catching up with you now and again when you're in NYC. Your albums are a continual delight; strong enough to be fresh after many listenings. Continued good luck!

Thank you for coming to Spartanburg, SC. We really enjoyed your concert this afternoon.
I was very moved by the song about the mighty gun and how the elephant can't stand against it.
"The gorilla named Anna
Was eating her banana
Then she met Delores
They walked in the forest."
The children seemed to have a great time.
Hope you can come back to Spartanburg again!

Hey, guys! Really sorry that I couldn't make it to your show at the Okefenokee Heritage Center. I trust that it was a huge success! Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed meeting the two of you and hope to someday see you again! Thanks, Ellen, for the vocal tips; I just wanted you to know that I was trying the snort-phlegm method when a customer slipped in on me and before I knew it had me in a Heimlich maneuver! You warned me! Seriously, thank you both for your kindness and good luck 'round every turn!

So you will be exposed to the North Oregon Coast/SW Washington Coast. They love this kind of music. You are a great duo and I wish you the best with your careers.

Ellen & Roger,

Congratulations on your new album. Nice work.

I ordered it online thru CD-Baby and thought you might like some F-E-E-D-B-A-C-K.
Placed the order on Monday afternoon. Received an immediate order-confirmation email. Received another email on Tuesday to confirm shipment. There was a cutesie message attached to the confirmation that I thought added nothing to the process (editorial comment). Received the CD on Friday in good condition (nicely packed). Enjoyed it this morning.

Overall rating of CD-Baby: C+
If the order is placed, originating from your site, the transaction is very easy and quick. If, however, one tries to order directly from CD-Baby, navigating to your works is a bit of a chore. Keyword search works OK, but their category search is weak. That plus the silly confirmation message forced me to lower the rating from a B+.

Here's to precious metals.

Good Luck and Best Wishes,
john

Enjoyed your performance at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute (locally, The Munstitoot or simply MWP) Arts Festival July 3rd in Utica. Looking forward to introducing my Spousal Person and some friends to those great sounds when you appear in Rome July 21st. Be well, and come up with some more good stuff!

Caught you in Hartford. great show, but I had to get back to work before it was over. Loved the sound, and Stu was rockin'. As a bass player I was blown away by his walking lines on the Studavarious. Pete

Hi Ellen/Roger...We in Rome are looking forward to a great night...Guess what NO SNOW. You will love our outdoor stage and tents. The Empire games will be in the area so we should have a good response. Talk it up at MWP. Hope you all are well. Good luck with the tour..L..Deb O'Shea..RACC
